6th Annual School Based Policing Conference
July 14 - July 17, 2008
The Kansas D.A.R.E. Officer's Association and the Kansas Association of School Resource Officers are co-hosting the 6th Annual School Based Policing Conference in Topeka, Kansas on July 14 thru July 17, 2008 at the beautiful downtown Ramada Inn. The conference offers both national level school-based police training and family entertainment for officers and families attending. All school resource officers, D.A.R.E. officers, community officers, supervisors, school administration and principals will gain a quality education at a very affordable price. Dates: July 14 thru July 17, 2008
Cost: $125.00 (Fee includes 28 hours of continuing education hours, all materials and manuals, icebreaker meal and casino night, Family fun night and closing ceremony meal, access to the conference vendor's area, Custom Car Show and more.)

NASRO Advanced Training Class (Additional $150.00 cost plus conference fee)
Active Shooter Training
Additional Programs:
Custom Car Show: (Wednesday 9:00AM to Noon) in the hotel parking lot. $15.00 cost to enter car. (Trophies awarded in different categories)
Conference Golf Tournament: (Wednesday Afternoon) $45.00 per player includes 18 holes, cart and meal. Tournament is at the Lake Shawnee Golf Course (Trophies awarded to winners)
Firearms Competition: (Wednesday Evening) All interested officers will be able to go to the Topeka Firearms Range and compete against each other in a firearms competition. No cost for the competition. Each officer must supply their own weapon and 60 rounds of ammunition. (Awards to best marksman)
Entertainment:
Monday Evening Ice breaker Meal: The Ramada will supply a Mexican style buffet meal and entertainment in the grand ball room.
Family Fun Night: There will be a family fun night and a meal on Tuesday evening at a location to be announced soon.
Can I attend just one day if I can not make it for the entire conference?
Yes, you may pick any one day session and attend just that training for a one day fee of $35.00. You will receive credit for the training you attend. The classes you can not attend without going to the conference are: Active Shooter and NASRO Advanced class. When you register for the one day session write on the registration form you will be attending only one day and put the date of the one day you wish to attend.
